Reina Madre, which is Spanish for “Queen Mother,” was originally bred by Spain’s Delicatessen Seed Bank, which crossed La Reunion with an unknown sativa and Congo #1 to create this sativa-leaning strain. Known to produce copious amounts of resin, Queen Mother is said to carry an aroma and flavor often compared to bitter herbs and spices.

Queen Mother has been combined with NYC Diesel to breed Cannatonic, the renowned high-CBD strain created by the Spain-based breeder Resin Seeds.
